WJA competition focuses on platinum 23rd February 2007
The Women's Jewelry Association (WJA) has announced that this year's DIVA design competition will focus on platinum jewellery.
It has been revealed that the organisation will partner with the Platinum Guild International (PGI) for the 2007 event, which will concentrate specifically on bridal jewellery.
Platinum bridal jewellery has become increasingly popular over recent years and this is reflected by the WJA's decision to focus on the area this year, looking for new and innovative approaches to the use of platinum in designing the jewellery.
The theme of the competition, which offers the winner $2,000 from WJA and a package worth $15,000 from PGI, has a theme entitled Two People, Three Platinum Rings.
As well as the prize money, the winner will also see her design manufactured by Lieberfarb and then put on display in the Platinum Pavilion during the JCK Show in Las Vegas.
