Wallbridge Mining to begin exploration on new platinum project 28th March 2008
Wallbridge Mining has announced a joint venture agreement with Vale Inco and Xstrata Nickel for a mining claim near to the Frost Lake Property in Ontario that could contain platinum.
The new site is next to the Capre 3000 discovery which contains copper and platinum-palladium-gold mineralisation.
Alar Soever, President of Wallbridge Mining, said: "This is highly prospective ground in the Sudbury Mining camp as indicated by the impressive assays released by Vale Inco and Lonmin Plc from their discovery next door.
"This joint venture between Wallbridge and two of the major companies in the Sudbury area will bring a lot of knowledge and experience to our exploration efforts," he added.
Wallbridge Mining will have a 50 per cent interest in the project with the remaining half been split between Xstrata Nickel and Vale Inco.
The site will be operated by Wallbridge Mining and Bruce Jago, Vice President of Exploration was excited to begin exploration immediately.
"The discovery of the Capre 3000 zone further validates Wallbridge's approach to copper and platinum group element exploration in footwall rocks to the Sudbury Basin and the accumulation of our strategic land position particularly on the East Range and North Range," he explained.
