Volkswagen Aqua fuel cell vehicle the car of the future? 13th June 2011
A car that uses fuel cell technology to make it hover has been designed by a Chinese student.
The Volkswagen Aqua, which has been imagined as part of a competition organised by the carmaker, uses fans and airbags to make it glide over snow, ice and roads of all surfaces.
It is nothing more than an idea, but mechanic design student Yuhan Zhang hopes that one day it will be in production.
"There is no better form of transport than an air cushion vehicle because it travels equally well over land, ice, and water," she told the Daily Mail.
It was designed for a competition that required entrants to create a Chinese off-road vehicle that can go anywhere.
