Unique new platinum ring exhibition in Italy 4th November 2008
Platinum Guild International (PGI) has announced that a major exhibition featuring a collection of unique platinum wedding rings will open in Italy tomorrow (5th November).
The organisation invited seven designers, seven fashion designers and seven jewellery designers to create a ring apiece, taking them from concept to reality using personal influences.
The result is the 'Eternal Platinum' exhibition, which runs until 30th November in Milan and will be curated by Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewellery Design at the Politecnico di Milano.
Each of the rings has been crafted with the designer's interpretation of eternal love and the variety of responses set to go on display at the Triennale di Milano is considerable.
PGI has also confirmed that the 21 pieces created by the design experts will be complemented by those of two students from the advanced jewellery design course at the college.
For anyone visiting the exhibition there will be an accompanying catalogue in English and Italian published by Skira, while the rings can also be viewed online already at eternalplatinum.com.
