Mining professionals have been invited to a new conference that is taking place to provide more information and advice on the use of laser mapping.

The two-day conference, beginning on February 19th 2008, will be held at the Potgietersrust Platinum mine in South Africa and will include demonstrations of the laser mapping technologies that are already in operation at the mine.
Explaining the benefits of the conference, Dr Graham Hunter, Managing Director of 3D Laser Mapping, said: "New or inexperienced users can see the systems in operation and learn from their peers, we will also offer plenty of opportunities for advice and one to one practical support."
He added: "For the more experienced user we will be demonstrating the latest developments in technology and exploring the future of laser scanning for the mining operation."
