Torch Spark Plug plans new production lines 15th August 2007
Torch Spark Plug has announced plans to launch 15 new production lines by June 2008.
The firm acquired the production lines from Delphi last year and the move will see the Chinese-based company expand its US presence.
According to Automotive World, Automotive News China reports that the company will increase its production levels from 90 million units per year to 230 million units when all the new production lines come on-stream.
Torch has the ability to weld platinum spark plugs, which are popular because of the durability and reliability that they offer.
This ability gives the company a head start over many of its Chinese rivals, which are currently still unable to weld platinum spark plugs.
