Silver, platinum and palladium ETPs launched on LSE 18th April 2011
Source has launched three precious metals exchange-traded products (ETPs) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), providing a vehicle for investors looking for physically-secured ETPs.
Source Physical Silver P-ETC, Source Physical Platinum P-ETC and Source Physical Palladium P-ETC are all backed by physical metals held in JP Morgan's vaults in London, and complement the existing Physical Gold P-ETC offered by Source.
"Investors look to precious metals as both an investment opportunity and a safe haven," said Ted Hood, chief executive officer of Source.
"The concept of a physical holding - and the ability to access it in times of crisis - is part of their appeal. It is important that the investment vehicle doesn’t compromise this."
The products have a 0.39 per cent annual fixed fee and bring Source's product range to 90.
The Physical Gold ETC was listed on the LSE in June 2009, prompted by the rise in physical investment in precious metals during the preceding year.
