Rypos expanding diesel filter production 24th November 2005

Diesel engine specialist Rypos has announced it is expanding its production capacity and moving to a new plant.

The firm, which produces filters used by off-road vehicles to help curb emissions, is moving into a 12,000 square foot premises in Massachusetts.

President Klaus Peter said that the expansion would help the firm to harness the bourgeoning clean diesel market, which has been accelerated by the introduction of new emissions standards across the world.

With the off-road sector in particular also seeing positive growth in recent years, the firm is well placed to exploit a growing market.

"Demand for clean diesel power is being fuelled by US-EPA and California-EPA regulations, together with voluntary compliance incentives to make existing and new diesel engines run cleaner," Mr Peter explained.

Rypos recently introduced two active diesel emission filter product lines, covering engines with markedly varying output, from 100 kW to 2 MW.
