Rhodium trophy for Euroleague Basketball 26th October 2006

Euroleague Basketball

With the new Euroleague Basketball season about to get underway, a new trophy has been commissioned which uses rhodium to great effect.

The platinum group metal (pgm) covers the brass trophy to give it a sparkling finish, making it a worthy prize for the basketball teams who will compete all season to claim it as their own.

Designed by communications agency, Proximma, and crafted by Laudo's, the cup uses rhodium to pick out bright details that make it a unique and impressive award.

Standing 60cm high, with a 13.7cm base, the trophy is shaped like a cup and its body represents a basketball. The design is aimed at representing the modern and fashionable face of Euroleague Basketball and it uses rhodium to achieve this.

Laudo's has much experience in creating sporting awards, having been the company which made the medals at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.
