Royal Bafokeng Holdings (RBH) has revealed that it is considering listing its Bafokeng Rasimone Platinum Mines (BRPM).

Officials at the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) group have announced that the firm is looking at the potential of listing its platinum mine operations as a way to raise more capital.

The company would use any capital raised from a listing to develop the Styldrift deposit.

BRPM is a joint venture with Anglo Platinum which a 200,000 platinum ounces mine and with prospects looking good for the Styldrift operation RBH is now looking to raise more capital for the project.

A listing does make sense and it will provide us with other opportunities as well," Niall Carroll, Royal Bafokeng Finance, told MiningMX.

Mr Carroll added that a listing is "one of the options" that the group is currently looking at.
