The Palm Springs International Film Festival has taken place, with a number of top celebrities walking down the red carpet wearing platinum.

Among the various stars arriving at the awards ceremony was Britain's own Kate Winslet, who had heads turning with her selection of platinum jewellery, crafted for her by renowned platinum jeweller Neil Lane.

The Titanic actress wore a pair of stunning platinum and diamond drop earrings, together with a rare platinum and diamond bracelet, reports Jewelry Weblog.

Ms Winslet also showed off her jewellery on stage, when she won the Desert Palm Achievement for Acting award for her role in Little Children, which received a number of awards at the event.
