Bosch has launched a new range of platinum spark plugs, claiming they 'enrich the driving experience'.

Pam Krebs, director of advertising at Bosch, explained that the spark plugs boost performance and efficiency.

She stated: 'Improved fuel efficiency, longer life and proven performance are all part of the big picture that makes for a wonderful driving experience with Bosch platinum spark plugs.'

The German-based firm has been developing innovative products for the automotive industry for more than 117 years.

The implementation of platinum group metals in spark plugs has been a growing trend for specialist automotive manufacturers. Yesterday, technology supplier Denso unveil a new line of iridium-based plugs.

Denso's offerings are being used in a range of motor sports, including Formula 1 and Motocross.
