Platinum jewellery exhibition to hit London 27th May 2009
A major new exhibition showcasing platinum wedding rings crafted by the finest Italian designers is set to arrive in London next month, it was revealed today (27th May).
'Eternal Platinum' will feature pieces produced by seven leading jewellery designers, all with the intention of using the rare precious metal to symbolise eternal love.
In addition, sketches from seven prominent architects will chart the process involved in creating the rings, highlighting the skills required to move from concept to realisation.
Organised by Platinum Guild International - a body responsible for developing platinum jewellery around the world - the exhibition will be curated by Alba Cappellieri, a professor at Politecnico di Milano.
The seven jewellery designers participating are Giampaolo Babetto, Gabriele De Vecchi, Alba Polenghi Lisca, GianCarlo Montebello, Rossella Tornquist, Giorgio Vigna and Annamaria Zanella.
Eternal Platinum will be open to the public between 8th and 12th June at INC Space in Covent Garden and forms part of the Coutts London Jewellery Week.
