A top country artist took to the stage adorned in platinum when she picked up an award in Nashville this week.

Miko Marks, an African American country singer who is making a mark on the country scene in the US, said she felt "like a million dollars" when she walked on stage to collect the award.

The singer was collecting the New Music Weekly Award for best new country artist and had been decked out in platinum jewellery ahead of the show.

Renowned platinum jewellery maker, Garo Chividjian, had made sure that Marks looked the part when she walked on stage, having earlier selecting two diamond solitares, bracelets and a diamond choker for the star to wear.

Chividjian is regarded as one of the top platinum jewellers in the world and his personal selections ensured that Miko Marks stood out when picking up the award, reports Top40Charts.com.
