Platinum Guild International (PGI) USA and wedding planning website OneWed.com have launched the Show Us Your Platinum promotion.

They want engaged Facebook fans to upload a photo of their platinum engagement ring for a chance to win a pair of platinum wedding bands worth nearly $3,000.

Running from August 15th to September 12th, the contest allows brides to post a photo of their platinum engagement ring on OneWed.com's Facebook wall with a caption.

"There are few events in life as joyous and important as marriage, and we are delighted to honour and celebrate that with breathtaking platinum jewellery from the ever-classy Platinum Guild International," commented OneWed.com's chief executive officer John Scrofano

Anyone who enters can win platinum hoop earrings, while only brides-to-be with platinum engagement rings, or the men who proposed with platinum, are eligible to win the platinum wedding band set.

"We want to hear directly from brides regarding the connection between their platinum engagement ring and their everlasting relationship," explained Huw Daniel, president of PGI USA.
