Platinum Guild International launches new initiative 16th August 2007

Platinum Guild International USA (PGI) has launched a new incentive contest for platinum jewellery manufacturing sales representatives and retailers.

Unveiled at the PGI event in New York City, the Show Me the Platinum competition is designed to reward manufacturing sales representatives and retailers for their "passion for platinum".

To enter, manufacturing sales reps must submit digital photographs of platinum jewellery in the bridal showcases of their retail customers, Jckonline reports.

The entrant who submits the most entries will be given a five-day trip for two to the Le Meridien Resort and Spa in Cancun, Mexico, while the runner-up will receive a Bloomingdale's Gift Card to the value of $500.

Meanwhile, retailers will be judged by an independent panel on the quality of their displays of platinum bridal jewellery and the prominence of signage that indicates the presence of platinum jewellery.

The three stores deemed to have the best displays will receive a platinum focussed in-store training sessions and a listing on the websites www.preciousplatinum.com and www.engagementguide.com.

The stores will also win a mystery shopper visit, the results of which will be used to enable them to improve their sales technique.

Last entry for the contest is December 31st 2007.
