Platinum Guild International UK (PGI) has launched a new training programme designed to help retailers and their staff sell platinum more effectively.

Called Platinum Principles, the initiative aims to help salespeople gain more confidence about platinum and to sell it not only to women but to men as well.

The programme will equip retailers with the skills to improve their platinum sales volumes, PGI said.

In addition, it wants to help platinum retailers to increase their bridal sales in the precious metal.

To ensure it addresses the needs of busy retailers, the course has been through research and pilots.
