PGI launches new online catalogue for platinum chains 3rd July 2009
Platinum Guild International (PGI) has launched a new catalogue designed to target increased demand for platinum chains, it was confirmed this week.
The worldwide platinum marketing body is offering a comprehensive database of platinum chains and other semi-finished products through the new online resource.
In addition, it features listings of manufacturers from all across the globe that specialise in the creation of fastenings, machine-made and hand-finished chains.
PGI Chief Executive Officer James Courage commented: "This catalogue aims to connect the excellent producers of platinum chains with those in demand - thus generating an opportunity for increased platinum sales for everyone involved."
Mr Courage added that there are currently "opportunities that have not been available to the jewellery industry for some time", such as attractive prices and a low premium over other precious metals.
The catalogue contains pieces from manufacturers located in China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the UK and the US.
PGI also announced recently that it has launched a new advertising campaign to celebrate platinum jewellery as a symbol of love.
