Norilsk sales to match production 27th September 2006
Russian news agency, Interfax, report Norilsk Nickel is planning to produce between 3.05 and 3.1 million ounces of palladium during 2006, while its production of other pgms is set to reach between 720,000 and 730,000 ounces.
These figures do not take into account production at Stillwater Mining, in which Norilsk has a controlling stake.
The Interfax article, reporting on an interview with Anton Berlin, head of analysis and development at Norilsk, quotes him as saying the companies nickel sales will be 243,000 to 248,000 tonnes in 2006, matching planned production - the company being on track to meet its 2006 production targets.
