Mitsubishi to launch clean diesel concept 31st July 2007
Mitsubishi has announced that it is to unveil its latest concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
The company is to unveil the Concept-cX vehicle, which uses a new high-output, high-efficiency 1.8-litre clean diesel engine.
The new engine includes a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) in the exhaust system that is designed so that it will comply with Europe's Euro 5 emission standards.
There are a number of new environmental technologies featured in the vehicle as Mitsubishi attempts to boost its green credentials, but the Concept-cX also aims to deliver improved utility and road performance, the company has stated.
Mitsubishi believes the new vehicle is part of a "new generation" of compact SUV, which brings together environmental issues as well as improving performance.
