Mayors Jewelers enjoys sales surge 16th June 2005

US jewellery retailer Mayors Jewelers has seen a marked rise in sales of 14 per cent after publishing its yearly results.

The firm, which specialises in fine jewellery, offering a range of platinum and gold pieces, reported that net sales totalled $142.7 million for the year ending March 26th.

In the fourth quarter sales hit $30.9 million, an increase of 15 per cent on last year's figures.

Mayors president Thomas Andruskevich welcomed the results, saying the firm was "extremely pleased with the progress" it has made.

"Mayor's was able to generate net income of $782,000, which moved Mayor's into a positive net income position for the first time in four years," he added.

The firm operates a host of stores in the US, largely based in South Florida and Atlanta.

Founded in 1910, the jewellery specialists work in fine jewellery and timepieces.track
