London showcases £26k platinum bridal gown 24th April 2009

A unique bridal gown worth approximately £26,500 and made with platinum fabric details was among the star attractions at a recent Italian lifestyle event in London.

The dress, created by Mauro Adami, designer for Domo Adami, was showcased in association with White Sposa Magazine at La Dolce Vita between 26th and 29th March.

Boasting a wide and soft double ruffled-tulle petticoat and corset, the gown also features a bodice draped with platinum fabric and built on duchess satin and heavy hempen cloth.

The 12-inch-wide texture - which includes boning and hand stitching - is produced in Japan and is a classic example of Mikado weaving, having been worked with silk threads.

Any brides who choose the limited availability gown will be able to receive it fully customised as Domo Adami ensures that names are hand-embroidered on the inner lining.

The official website for La Dolce Vita describes the event as a "huge success", while also announcing that next year's version will take place at the Business Design Centre between 11th and 14th March.
