Platinum Guild International (PGI) is to unveil the world's most expensive nail varnish next month.

The polish contains pure platinum dust and is a joint venture between Johnson Matthey, Allure magazine, PGI and Essie Cosmetics.

Designer Henry Dunay has also created a luxurious top and base set to hold the polish made from pure platinum.

According to National Jeweler the whole set is valued at $55,000 with each limited edition polish worth $250 per bottle.

The platinum product will be unveiled at JCK Las Vegas on June 2nd and is part of a new range of exclusive polishes called I Do.
