Johnson Matthey Gas Purification Technology (GPT) group has announced a new deal which will see it supplying hydrogen purifiers to Taiwan's Formosa Epitaxy (Forepi).

The agreement will see Johnson Matthey supplying three Model GPT-40 hydrogen
purifiers to Forepi for use in its wafer and chip manufacturing processes.

The purifiers will deliver 99.9999999 per cent pure hydrogen for Forepi to use in its wafer fabrication, with palladium membranes helping to ensure that the purification process is as effective as possible.

Forepi is a leading manufacturer of LED products, including the high-power InGaN blue, green and near-UV LEDs.
