Johnson Matthey's filter takes starring role 21st February 2007
Johnson Matthey's Heavy Duty Diesel Continuously Regenerating Technology (CRT) particulate filter is to have a major role in a television show this week.
The filter is set to star in an episode of Country Music Television's hit series, Trick My Truck.
An episode of the show to be screened in the US on Friday will see Johnson Matthey's particulate filter fitted as part of the "facelift" given to a unique "diner" rig.
Trick My Truck features truck mechanics who "hijack" the rigs of lucky truck drivers and customise them.
Johnson Matthey's filter is being featured on the series because of its effectiveness in reducing emissions and the programme is backed by the US Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) SmartWay Transport Partnership.
The CRT particulate filter from Johnson Matthey is the most widely used filter for controlling particulate matter from heavy-duty diesel engines, making it the ideal filter to be demonstrated in the show.
