Johnson Matthey announces emission control symposium 22nd June 2010
Johnson Matthey will join forces with the Volvo Group and Corning to deliver a two-day event focusing on the challenges of emission control.
The leading platinum refiner will invite top industry players to attend the 2010 SAE Heavy Duty Diesel Emissions Control Symposium in Sweden in September.
During the conference, policy makers and engineering executives will exchange information about how to meet the tough new standards in Europe and the US.
The areas covered by the event will include global technical challenges, alternative fuels and powertrains, emerging markets, non-road markets, engine developments, aftertreatment and systems integration.
"Johnson Matthey is proud to be associated with this premier technical heavy-duty diesel emissions forum where delegates can learn the latest industry developments directly from leading global technology and policy experts," said Dr David Priest, Managing Director of the European Emission Control Technologies business at Johnson Matthey.
The symposium will take place between 21st and 22nd September at Gothenburg's Quality Hotel 11.
In July 2009, Johnson Matthey began production at a new £34 million emission control plant in Macedonia, designed to leverage its manufacturing technology for light and heavy-duty vehicle catalysts.
