Johnson Matthey adds palladium plates, wires and rods to its NY stock 10th July 2009

Johnson Matthey announced yesterday (9th July) that it now holds palladium plate, wire and rod stock at its '5th Avenue Take Out' in New York.

According to a recent survey by National Jeweler, the outlook for designer jewellery sales are positive for the remainder of 2009, with consumers favouring white precious metals.

With that in mind, the leading palladium tubing supplier is offering the new alloy-based options in order to provide more variety and accessibility in its palladium mill products.

Johnson Matthey NY Sales and Marketing Manager Mark Danks said: "I've talked to people who want to make fantastic pieces of jewellery in palladium, but think they can only get it in casting grain or tubing.

"[Now] you can order an ounce of palladium alloy rod - pick-up or delivery - and you only pay for what you take. No minimum amounts required, no minimum invoice."

Johnson Matthey NY also revealed that it is offering discounts to members of the Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America as part of the group's M2M programme.
