Impala clarifies Zimbabwe commissioning plans 9th April 2009

Impala Platinum has clarified some of the details relating to the lead story posted yesterday (8th April) on the Johnson Matthey website.

The article, which was derived from Zimbabwean newspaper the Herald, notes the commissioning of the company's expansion plans in the troubled country.

This specifically refers to the official opening of the Phase 1 expansion project, which will take place in the next few weeks, with full throughput set to be achieved by August.

In addition, Impala has revealed that no decision has yet been made in relation to the next phase of expansion in the $340 million project.
