Microcanotta in platino 1

Italian fashion designer Pierluigi Fucci has teamed up with the Platinum Guild International (PGI) to create a unique new pret-a-couture collection.

The new design uses a 50 metre-long platinum chain, which has been hand crocheted into a jewel-like necklace-top and is weaved together creating a web.

The necklace-top is worth more than €70,000 and a limited number of the items have been produced to be launched in summer 2007. It was unveiled at Milano Moda Donna on September 26th.

Pierluigi Fucci is renowned for his efforts to research and experiment with new techniques and materials, with this foray into the platinum market the latest move in his quest to bring the most innovative of styles to the catwalk.
