Ferrari's 60th anniversary celebrated with platinum 3rd April 2007
High-end jewellery manufacturers Damiani has produced a platinum and diamond relay baton to be used in Ferrari's 60th anniversary celebrations.
The baton is part of Damiani's sponsorship of a vast relay event, which spans the entire world and involves 10,000 owners of the luxury marque's automobiles.
In keeping with the spirit of the celebrations, the ornate baton incorporates Ferrari's famous Prancing Horse logo in platinum and diamonds and features 60 enamel badge designs showing events from the company's illustrious history to symbolise the company's 60 years in the business.
Under the terms of the sponsorship deal Valenza-based Damiani, which has been producing luxury jewellery since 1924, will also have its logo on the participating cars.
Fans wishing to catch the tour and admire the baton can see it as the relay wends its way through Europe before finishing up in the Ferrari factory in Maranello on June 23rd.
Ferrari also announced it will also be celebrating the events by producing a set of 60 limited edition cars using the design template of the classic 612 Scagletti.
