Match Capital Intersects Broad Copper-Nickel-PGE Mineralization (24/10/11)
Match Capital Resources Corporation announced drill results for the Indian Lake North property in Quebec.
It is located approximately 20km north of the Blue Lake deposits owned by Lafosse Platinum, which are known to contain significant copper-nickel-platinum-palladium bearing sulphide lenses.
One hole, ILN-01, intersected palladium at 0.63g/t and platinum at 0.05g/t.
"We are very excited about the results of the summer drill programme," said Elizabeth Kirkwood, president and chief executive officer of Match.
"We look forward to planning and carrying out further programmes on the property."
Pacific North West Capital Continues to Intersect High Grade Platinum Group Metal Mineralization at River Valley Project, Sudbury, Ontario (27/10/11)
Pacific North West Capital Corp released assay results for four more drill holes in the 2011 Phase IB Exploration project at its River Valley PGM-Gold Property in Ontario.
Hole DN026 intersected 13 metres at 1.88g/t 3E platinum group metals from 99 metres downhole, while DN027 intersected eight metres 2.83g/t 3E pgm from 73 metres downhole.
In the Dana North and Dana South Zones, pgm mineralisation "has relatively consistent, high grade pgm values", the firm said.
Results of infill drilling at Dana North showed the majority of holes returned "higher-than-anticipated pgm grades".
Magma Metals Limited: Quarterly Report for the Period Ended September 30, 2011 (27/10/11)
Summer drilling at the Thunder Bay North platinum-palladium project in Ontario has extended mineralisation by 450m to the east from the current mineral resource, Magma Metals confirmed as it released its quarterly report.
The company also said a major step-out drilling campaign is in progress to test a further one kilometre of strike to the east of this extension.
In addition, Magma said option to purchase the Beaver Lake claim was exercised, while a farm-in joint venture agreement was reached to explore the Greenwich Lake property adjacent to the Thunder Bay North project.
Enterprise Metals soon to begin gold-PGE-iron ore drill testing at Burracoppin (31/10/11)
Enterprise Metals is beginning reverse circulation drilling to test a variety of platinum group elements, gold, iron ore and nickel at Burracoppin in Western Australia.
It comes after soil sampling at the site, near the Edna May gold mine, detected significant platinum, palladium and gold anomalies.
The drilling programme comprises 5,000m over 43 reverse circulation drill holes.
Platina Resources Limited (ASX:PGM) Announces Platinum and Scandium Resource Estimate for Owendale Project (07/11/11)
Platina Resources Limited has announced resource estimation for its Owendale Platinum and Scandium Project, located in central New South Wales, Australia.
A resource for platinum of 13.1m at 0.7 g/t Pt has been estimated at a 0.4g/t platinum cut-off, equivalent to 293,000 oz.
Platina said Owendale "has the potential to become Australia's sole platinum mine, with the added upside of coincidentally containing one of the world's highest grade scandium resources".
It said the project could be fast tracked with further development activities leading to early platinum production.
Platinum Group Metals Announces a New Discovery Extending the North Limb of the Bushveld Complex (09/11/11)
Platinum Group Metals Ltd reported drill intercepts grading 3.47 g/t platinum, palladium and gold over 3.5m and 7g/t over five metres at vertical depth of approximately 660m.
The high grade, thick, layered intercepts are located in an area north of the previously mapped North Limb of the Bushveld Complex.
Rhodium, nickel and copper assays for the announced drill intercepts are still pending.
Colossus Minerals Discovers Extensive Anomalies at Serra Pelada From Soil Geochemistry and Auger Drilling (Including 124.78 g/t Gold, 6.52 g/t Platinum and 7.67 g/t Palladium Over 1.5 Metres) (14/11/11)
Colossus Minerals Inc said it has discovered extensive anomalies from its soil geochemical programme and follow-up auger drilling in the extended land package of the Serra Pelada Gold-Platinum-Palladium Project in Brazil.
Vic Wall, vice-president for exploration, commented: "We are excited by the results of our geochemical programme on the expanded Serra Pelada land package. While much work needs to be done to assess the potential significance of these anomalies, it is clear that there is excellent potential for additional discoveries on the property outside the known mineralisation."
Initial auger drilling of anomalies intersected 124.78g/t gold, 6.52g/t platinum and 7.67g/t palladium over 1.5 metres in the Elefante section.
