Staying with the Stillwater Project, Nevoro has also disclosed the results of its initial core drilling programme at the site.
Two holes were drilled to examine the pgm-bearing 'A' and 'B' reefs in the Ultramafic Series sequence and the sizeable Ni-Cu-Co sulphide mineralisation in the Basal Series sequence south of and parallel to the JM Reef.
The first (MV-08-01) was abandoned at 120m as a result of bad conditions, while the second (MV-08-02) revealed six pgm-enriched chromite-bearing reefs and intersected a PGM-enriched sulphide-bearing pegmatoid reef.
One of the six chromite-bearing reefs was found to have a particularly high-grade horizon of 0.5m at 9.90 g/t pgm, which included more than 1 g/t of rhodium.
