ETF Securities sees record physical palladium inflows 9th September 2009

ETF Securities revealed on Monday (7th September) that the amount of metal it holds to back its palladium exchange-traded commodity has reached a record high.

The UK-based firm announced that its ETFS Physical Palladium product increased from 404,598 oz to 448,210 oz - which is a rise of 10.7 per cent - last Friday, Reuters reports.

In addition, its ETFS Physical Gold offering grew by 14,963 oz, or 0.4 per cent, on the same day, while its Gold Bullion Securities product saw outflows of 22,635 oz (0.6 per cent).

The company also operates a small Australian gold-backed fund, which increased by 9,098 oz - the equivalent of two per cent.

ETF Securities launched the world's first entire exchange-traded commodities platform, which was listed on the London Stock Exchange in September 2006.
