Eastern Platinum has today listed on the JSE, as the company continues its progress as a developing platinum producer.

The secondary listing did not bring with it any new equity, while shares in the company opened on the JSE at R20.00 per share.

"While Eastplats will not be raising any equity concurrent with the listing, the JSE listing will enable us to access South Africa's capital market and increase our investor base in an environment in which the platinum-group metals (pgms) sector is well understood," commented Ian Rozier, Eastern Platinum President and Chief Executive.

Eastern Platinum confirmed that Barplats will halt trading on the JSE from May 28th. Eastern Platinum announced earlier this year that it would be acquiring Barplats.
