Diamonds for Humanity launches new platinum collection 7th April 2005

A new jewellery line has been launched by Diamonds for Humanity, with items available in gold, platinum and diamond.

The collection is the first diamond jewellery line to feature cultured diamonds and will be released on April 13th.

A host of celebrities have helped promote the brand including Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry and Heidi Klum.

Jewellery includes Gemesis Cultured Diamonds and Tundra Canadian white diamonds and 37 designs will be auctioned, with prices ranging from $5,000 to $200,000.

One key feature of the collection is a 27-carat yellow and white diamond necklace set in platinum.

David Hellier, president of the Gemesis Corporation, said: "Consumers can now purchase exceptional diamond jewellery that will also make a powerful contribution to people's lives."

The company is a global initiative founded by designer Sabiha Foster in reaction to the civil wars and human rights abuses fuelled by trade in illicit diamonds.track
