Clean Diesel signs licence agreement with Extengine Transport Systems 28th September 2006

A new agreement has been reached between Clean Diesel Technologies and Extengine Transport Systems relating to China and North America.

The licence and distribution agreement sees Extengine acquire the the technology, manufacturing and distribution rights to Clean Diesel's Catalyzed Wire Mesh Diesel Particulate Filter (CWMF) technology.

It is hoped that the move will help to increase the efficacy of emissions filters and to reduce the levels of emissions in vehicles in both North America and China.

CWMF technology is designed for use with diesel engines and has already been demonstrated by the two firms to show that it is capable of meeting the emissions requirements of the environment protection authority of China.

"Extengine and Clean Diesel are now working closely together to commercialise superior particulate matter control systems to meet the growing demand for diesel retrofits from China to California to New York City," commented Phillip Roberts, Extengine president.

He added: "This licence is a key step in building upon the synergies between our companies, with core strengths of highly effective, commercially ready diesel retrofit solutions."
