Bill Clinton launches prestige platinum watch 11th October 2007

Bill Clinton has unveiled the new Jules Audemars Clinton Foundation Equation of Time timepiece fashioned from platinum, with a portion of the proceeds set to fund the Clinton Foundation's charitable works throughout the world.

The platinum version of the watch, which is also available, in 18k rose gold and white gold, is priced at $137,000, with only 42 manufactured in each metal, jckonline reports.

Audemars Piguet South Africa's Chief Executive Officer Georges-Henri Meylan said: "The Clinton Foundation and Audemars Piguet share common values of innovation and excellence, and the same philosophy.

"Audemars Piguet is very proud to help the Clinton Foundation achieve the ambitious goals it has set for the coming years. Our new partnership allows us to launch a unique timepiece and donate $3 million to the foundation."

In keeping with Mr Clinton's status as former-President of the United States, the platinum version of the watch comes with an architectural model of the White House and uses the presidential home as a location on its graduated ring.
