Barclays Global Investors (BGI), the asset management division of Barclays Plc, has announced that it is considering offering more commodities-linked exchange traded funds (ETFs).
A senior official at the organisation has suggested that it is looking to introduce new ETFs in Japan following an increasing demand for diversification away from traditional assets in the region.
According to Reuters, Nick Good, BGI's Managing Director and Head of iShares in Asia, said: "We continue to see a lot of demand globally, and Japan in particular seems to have some real fundamental interests in these products."
