Anglo Platinum announced today the forthcoming departure of Eric Ngubane, the executive director of the company's Human Resources department.

He will be leaving in December, and will spend the intervening months working on the completion of existing projects and ensuring a smooth handover to his successor.

Mr Ngubane joined Angloplat in 1997 as a divisional director of the Human Resources department, rising to occupy the executive directorship in 1998.

He was then appointed to the Executive Committee, as well as to the Anglo Platinum Board and its subsidiaries. He also spent time as an alternate director at Northam Platinum.

In a press statement, the management of Angloplat thanked Mr Ngubane for his 'significant contribution' to the company's successes over the six years since he joined.

The news follows a difficult week for Angloplat in which speculation about its production targets has continued to mount.
