Anglo Platinum comments on rhodium prices 13th April 2006

Anglo Platinum has reported that it is currently supplying some of its customers with rhodium at prices below current world spot levels as a consequence of long-term and confidential contractual arrangements.

The company said that if the current price of rhodium of US$4 500/oz remains in place until the end of the year, its average price achieved for the year would be US$3 523/oz.

If the price of rhodium is US$3 500/oz for the same period Anglo Platinum's average price achieved will be US$3 136/oz.

The arrangements were put in place to safeguard sustainable rhodium demand, which could be jeopardised by the massive historic movements in the price of rhodium.

Anglo Platinum said its price agreements allowed its customers to develop and plan their technology applications with increased certainty.

Anglo Platinum is the world's largest producer of pgms.
