Platinum ruled the red carpet at two of the biggest award
ceremonies in Los Angeles; the Screen Actors Guild Awards on
January 27th and the Grammys on February

Rihanna rocked out in $2 million of platinum jewellery by Neil
Lane for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
She wore platinum and diamond drop earrings, a platinum
and diamond serpentine bracelet and a platinum, diamond and ruby
ring by the celebrity designer.
Meanwhile, Kimberly Schlapman of country
music group Little Big Town wore J/Hadley's
Victorian tear drop-shaped earrings in 14-carat yellow gold
and rhodium with sliced rubies, pavé diamonds and
Comedian and TV personality Kathy Griffin
selected Elizabeth Garvin's palladium and
diamond Inversion earrings and 3D Design's
D'ette Delforge's Cosmic Meteor palladium ring.
While rhodium and palladium made an appearance at the
Grammys, the 19th Screen Actors Guild Awards was all
Les Miserables star Anne Hathaway chose Kwiat
platinum and diamond cluster stud earrings, platinum and
diamond stackable rings and platinum and diamond
bracelets for the event, one of the biggest awards shows in the
run-up to the Oscars.
Amanda Seyfried opted for platinum and
diamond stud earrings and necklace by Lorraine Schwartz, who was
also the choice of January Jones.
Neil Lane was among the most popular designers, providing
platinum jewellery for the likes of Clare Danes,
Sofia Vergara, Julia Bowen, Helen Hunt, Naya
Rivera, Ellie Kemper and Nina
Chopard was the choice of Jennifer Lawrence who wore a
platinum and multi-shape diamond necklace, while Marion
Cotillard chose a platinum necklace with round and
marquise-cut diamonds by the same designer.
Jessica Chastain went for a platinum and
diamond 'Splash' necklace by Harry Winston.
Kerry Washington wore a variety of platinum pieces by Fred
Leighton, who also provided Nicole Kidman with Art Deco platinum
pendant earrings and an Edwardian platinum and diamond filigree

Celebrated jewellery designer Neil Lane added some Hollywood
glamour to ABC's The Bachelor, when Sean Lowe surprised one of the
contestants with a handmade diamond and platinum princess necklace
for their one-on-one date.
Previously, Lane has supplied engagement rings for
everyone from Reese Witherspoon and Kate Hudson to Jennifer Hudson
and Miley Cyrus.
