Johnson Matthey launches new metal scavenger kits
5 June 2013
Scavenging Technology from Johnson Matthey has
launched a new range of metal scavenging kits for recovering
platinum group elements and other precious and non-precious
Designed for businesses that need in-house evaluation of metal
scavengers, the kits work in a number of applications.
The package consists of a Pharmaceutical Kit, aimed at
applications in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and fine chemical
industries; and the Refining and Chemicals Kit targeted at
applications such as in-process streams, chemical manufacture and
Manufactured in Finland, each kit contains a range of high
quality scavengers with a different chemical functionality for both
precious and non-precious metal recovery.
The metal scavengers are able to treat solutions from a range
of pharmaceutical processes
including active pharmaceutical ingredient
(API) purification, residual catalyst removal from final stage
Suzuki coupling, hydrogenation and other cross coupling
Whether it's platinum group metal recovery from in-process
streams, fine chemicals manufacture or process effluents, the
scavengers can selectively recover many pgm complexes
from a range of chemical environments.
