Anglo Platinum has published the second edition of 'The Facts' in response to a report from the charity Action Aid.
The new edition of the report is intended to update the situation in response to the allegations in light of newly available information, including the results of independent water quality tests commissioned by Anglo Platinum.
Seven tests have been taken in the communities and contamination was found in the Ga-Molekana area, although Anglo Platinum says this is not related to mining activities.
The platinum company confirmed that elevated levels of nitrate exist at Langalibalele High School with existing scientific evidence suggesting pit latrines at the school, located too close to the borehole, are to blame.
But Anglo Platinum has taken steps to ensure that alternative water is provided at the site while investigating other causes for the high nitrate levels.
Anglo Platinum also reiterated that it did not use the police for force and continues to mine responsibly and help to tackle poverty.
Anglo Platinum claims that about 98 per cent of the 7,000 residents at the Ga-Pila Relocation have moved willingly while 86 per cent in the Mothlotlo relocation process have moved willingly.
A ten-year consultation with villagers also occurred to ensure they signed off willingly and knowingly.
