Johnson Matthey has announced the launch of its new PureGuard PSH Series Hydrogen Purifiers.
The company has revealed that the new purifiers are designed to specifically meet the growing demand for higher hydrogen flow rates, because these are required to support the larger production capacity of the latest LED and silicon fabs in Taiwan and China.
"This new series of hydrogen purifiers reaffirms our commitment to support the ongoing growth of the global semiconductor industry," commented Stuart Bestrom, National Sales Manager at Johnson Matthey's Gas Purification Technology group.
The new models use Johnson Matthey's patented palladium membrane technology and enable the new fabs to use the company's more compact purifiers for higher flows. This is the case even where the inlet gas quality is from a lower quality, compressed source with purity as low as 99.9 per cent.
